The SecOps team sits alongside the Infrastructure team, Development team and Service Desk. Our client is going through an exciting new period of technical growth, with many significant and cutting-edge technical projects.

The senior SecOps engineer will be responsible for the oversight and development of the IT security policy and systems, including driving the firm’s certification of ISO27001. The senior SecOps engineer will be expected to mentor a team of two engineers whilst also maintain their own knowledge in terms of the latest developments within the world of IT Security and Business Continuity.

Experience of working in a fast past environment is critical for this role as is time management, the ability to plan and execute complex work packages. Experience of working in a Cisco and Microsoft environment is essential as is knowledge and experience of Microsoft Azure.

The role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced network and systems administrator with extensive knowledge of IT security to put a stamp on a new team or for an experienced IT Security engineer who is looking to step up to the next level.


  • Responsibility for oversight and development of the day-to-day IT Security function
  • Responsibility for the day-to-day management and integrity of the backup solution, including making recommendations for the refinement of the solution and planning for the future requirements
  • Responsibility for the patching of the firm’s estate of hardware and software systems
  • Responsibility for the firms monitoring system
  • Essential 15+yrs experience in network or systems administration or IT security
  • Ideally have a university degree or higher in an IT related discipline
  • Ideally have the Cisco CCNA certification
  • Ideally have an industry recognised IT Security qualification.
